Verrado is a master-planned community located in Buckeye, Arizona, approximately 25 miles west of downtown Phoenix. Nestled at the base of the White Tank Mountains, Verrado is known for its unique blend of modern amenities and traditional neighborhood charm. 

Development and Vision 

The development of Verrado began in 1998, a time when Buckeye had a population of only around 4,000 residents. Verrado was envisioned by DMB Associates, Inc. as a community that would embody the principles of New Urbanism, focusing on walkability, sustainability, and a strong sense of community. The design of Verrado was inspired by early 20th-century American neighborhoods, featuring tree-lined streets, front porches, and homes with garages accessed from rear alleys to maintain a traditional streetscape. 

Main Street District 

At the heart of Verrado is the Main Street District, which serves as the community's social and commercial hub. This area includes a variety of shops, restaurants, and services, creating an "old-town America" feel. Some notable establishments in the Main Street District include Bashas' grocery store, Ciao Grazie Pizzeria & Wine Bar, and several local businesses that contribute to the vibrant community atmosphere. 

Neighborhoods and Amenities 

Verrado's neighborhoods radiate from the Main Street District, offering a mix of townhouses and single-family residences. The community is designed to foster interaction among residents, with numerous parks, a community center, a swim park, a golf course, and extensive hiking trails. Verrado boasts 78 community parks and 21 miles of paths and trails, providing ample opportunities for outdoor activities and social gatherings. 

Victory at Verrado 

Victory at Verrado is an age-restricted district within the larger Verrado community, catering to residents aged 55 and older. Located in the northern section of Verrado, Victory offers resort-style living with amenities such as golf courses, fitness centers, and social clubs. This district is designed to provide an active and engaging lifestyle for its residents.
