Hugh Watson Jr., the son of the first mayor, served from 1956 to 1958. His tenure continued the legacy of his father, focusing on community development and economic growth. Ted Pierce (1960-1961) and W. Earl Herring (1962-1964) were notable for their efforts in improving local governance and public amenities. 

Recent Leadership 

In more recent years, Jackie A. Meck has been a prominent figure in Buckeye's leadership. Meck served two terms, first from 1972 to 1975 and then from 2008 to 2020. His leadership was marked by significant growth and development in Buckeye, including the expansion of residential areas and commercial developments. 

Dusty Hull served as mayor from 1998 to 2006, overseeing a period of rapid growth and modernization. Eric Orsborn, the current mayor, has been in office since 2020 and continues to focus on sustainable development and community engagement.
