From modest beginnings to modern marvels, the story of swimming pools in the Valley of the Sun reflects both the growth of the city and its unrelenting heat. **🌵 The Rise of the Pool in Phoenix** In the 1950s and 60s, as Phoenix rapidly expanded with suburban developments, swimming pools became a symbol of luxury—and survival. With summer temperatures regularly soaring above 110°F, a backyard pool quickly transitioned from a rare perk to an essential home feature. Communities like **Buckeye** and **Verrado** saw explosive growth in the early 2000s. Developers built homes with pools or left space for easy future installation, knowing that many Arizona families would soon opt in. **📊 How Many Pools Are in Maricopa County Today?** As of recent estimates, **Maricopa County** has over **430,000 residential swimming pools**, making it one of the most pool-dense counties in the U.S. That's approximately **1 pool for every 6 households**. In newer planned communities like Verrado and areas of Buckeye, the ratio is even higher. With water restrictions, rising utility costs, and growing awareness of environmental impact, pool ownership is shifting toward **efficient, well-maintained systems**—and that's where a professional service makes all the difference. **🧼 Pool Care in Buckeye & Verrado Has Come a Long Way** Today’s pools are smarter, more eco-conscious, and more demanding than ever. From **variable-speed pumps** and **digital testing equipment** to **saltwater systems** and **borate water balancing**, homeowners in **Verrado**, **Buckeye**, and across the West Valley expect more from their pool service—and they should. At **Founder's Pool Service**, we’re proud to offer **twice-a-week pool cleaning**, **included chemicals**, **filter cleanings**, and **smart tech monitoring** as part of our standard care plans.
